Administration Structure of Drati
Khangtsen:
The Administration structure of this Khangtsen is based on the traditional
system which is prevailing in Tibet before 1959 and is still in practice. It
contains an Advisory Board, Chief Administrator, Disciplinarians, and Assistant
administrators.
Advisory Board:
The Advisory Board contains the most senior Geshes of this Khangtsen. They advice and guide in the functioning of the administration, discipline, improvement and development in the field of education.
Chief General Administrator:
The Chief General Administrator (Chi-Gen) contains two Geshes of the Khangtsen. They are elected by the Advisory Board consulting with the other senior Geshes. They manage all the accounts of the Khangtsens and are responsible for any development within the Khangtsen. They are elected for three years.
Disciplinarians:
The disciplinarians contain a chief disciplinarian called “Khangtsen Gen” and he is responsible for all the disciplines and spiritual functioning of this Khangtsen such as debating, gathering or ritual gatherings.. He is elected for one year's tenure. He is assisted by a deputy disciplinarian (Chapri)
Assistant Administrator:
The Assistant Administrator contains two senior monks and they are responsible for the general activities within the Khangtsen such as managing the kitchen and preparing foods and teas during gatherings. They are also elected for one year.
