Welcome to Drati Khangtsen
Sera Je Drati Khangtsen is a charitable & a non profitable educational and cultural institution located at Bylakuppe, Mysore district in the south Indian state of Karnataka. It is one of the 14 branches of Buddhist traditional Philosophical educational Institutions of Sera- Je Monastic University.
At present, there are 380 monk students who are engaging in the studies of Buddhist Philosophical and dialectical Studies. The students are from different parts of Tibet , Himalayan regions and from some Tibetan Settlements in India . About 90 percent of the students are from poor families and many of them are orphans. We provide free education, accommodation and all other related necessities to them.
